At this time, we have no hard-set timeline because we have no date set for tryouts. That being said, please be sure to complete the electronic athletic packet and stay on top of it to ensure you receive clearance before tryouts (for which we have no set date). If you are having issues with the electronic packet process or receiving clearance, please email APA Lauren Otero directly for assistance at lauren.otero@sdhc.k12.fl.us. Continue to work on the internal Danceros tryout packet, and a turn-in date will be announced when we have a tryout date solidified. Update - Posted June 9th
We continue to await additional direction from the District, as well as PHS Administration regarding the scheduling of tryouts, practices, etc. In the meantime, there have been updates to the paperwork requirements for participation in school sports/teams. All extra-curricular paperwork will now be completed/submitted electronically.
Under the "Team Documents" tab of this website, you will find instructions on how to complete the new requirements. Please do this ASAP so you are cleared by the time we are given the green light to hold tryouts. Without completing these steps, you will not be permitted to tryout. These new directions are concerning the athletic-related forms only. Our internal Danceros tryout packet (also listed under the "Team Documents" tab) will still be submitted in physical form. Hang onto those for now.
Other sports have more requirements than Band Auxiliary (which is the district's term for Danceros and Color Guard), so be sure to select all sports that potentially interest you for the 2020-2021 school year. I want to stress that if you plan on participating in another sport, go ahead and complete the requirements for that sport at the same time.
